Fern Leaves and Cretaceous Scales are the building engine.
Other currencies unlock valuable rewards, but these two resources control seasonal construction. Falling behind on either slows the Biotech Lab, Greenhouses, combat structures, and Alliance Center development.

Raise resistance first, then add seasonal troop power.
What each seasonal currency does
Fern Leaves
Produced by Bio Greenhouses and used as the primary material for seasonal building upgrades.
Cretaceous Scales
Earned by defeating map NPCs. Scales are the secondary building resource and are just as necessary as Fern Leaves.
Ancient Dino Eggs
Earned from Stegosauruses, Predator Squads, events, and duplicate Fossils. Used in the weekend Bio Institute Shop.
Dino Feed & Pine Cones
Used to raise the dinosaur selected through Hatch of Legends. Earned through tasks and seasonal NPC kills.
Fossils
Twenty unique Fossils form the Fossil Album. Duplicates can be exchanged for Ancient Dino Eggs.
Glory Points & Badges
Dinosaur kills generate Glory. Collect a Glory Chest every eight hours to turn progression into seasonal badges.
Separate building resources from reward currencies.
Fern Leaves and Scales should serve your progression engine first. Eggs, Fossils, Feed, Pine Cones, and Badges support shops, collections, and long-term bonuses. Treating every currency as interchangeable leads to poor priorities.
Do not neglect Scales while waiting on Fern Leaves.
Seasonal upgrades require both resource streams. Strong Greenhouse production cannot compensate for weak NPC farming, and heavy farming cannot compensate for idle Greenhouses.
